Why start a blog in an age of AI, social media, and in 2025?

It's December 7th, 2025, exactly 23 days since I decided to invest in a custom domain name and purchase a subscription to Webflow to create this blog. The journey begins long before today, about one year ago after many life events that left shook.
In my time of solitude with the Lord I kept having an impression of start a blog, write, creative outlet. These impressions would only come in the quiet on trips of escape in the wonderful Colorado wilderness, specifically high deserts. In the wide open expanse of the 100 mile plus visibility of canyons, dirt, and cactus I kept hearing that still small voice encourage me to start a blog, write, be creative. There was just one problem, I didn't really want to start a blog or write. I wanted to know why... usually when the Holy Spirit speaks, there isn't usually a why, but quiet clear whisper or impression or picture that guides in direction. Mine was a creative outlet in blogging. In the following months before today, I was reminded in different ways by the still small voice to encourage me to write and create.
So my answer to why start a blog? Because the Holy Spirit led me to and continued encouraging me to begin. So without an answer to why, I trust in that still small clear voice and impressions that I received in the quiet of Colorado's high desert to begin this journey.
Reader, I hsve no routine or plan on how frequently to write or what content to write about other than the name of this blog Denver Christian Millennial. I reside in the suburbs of Denver, i grew up just north of Denver in Boulder County, yes I'm a native. I'm a bible believing, reformed Protestant continuationist Christian who loves the local church, serves in my local congregation as a millennial born in 1992. Through the lens of my identity I intend to write. I hope to encourage, comfort, and share about my own experiences and maybe some art.
As for starting a blog in 2025 in an AI dominate world, I can tell you I'm not a bot, I write these blogs the old fashion way (by typing from my own mind without AI assistance) and my hope is that Reader you are encouraged, entertained or bump into the One who loves and adores you, Jesus my Lord and Savior.
God bless and see you soon.
